The Role

We are seeking an

Adjunct Faculty in Clinical Psychology

to deliver high-quality teaching on postgraduate modules in

MSc Mental Health and Wellbeing

. The successful candidate will support students in developing their clinical, assessment, and research skills, integrating applied practice with academic learning.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Teach and assess postgraduate students on MSc Mental Health and Wellbeing modules. Provide academic and personalised support to students. Deliver lectures, workshops, and tutorials that integrate clinical knowledge with applied learning. Provide constructive feedback to support students' academic and professional growth. Contribute to the development and enhancement of curriculum and assessments, ensuring alignment with professional and academic standards. Maintain accurate student progress and assessment records in line with institutional requirements. Engage in departmental meetings and academic quality assurance processes.

Candidate Requirements

Qualifications

Master's or PhD in Clinical Psychology or a closely related field. Attested qualifications with UAE Ministry of Education equivalency (mandatory requirement). Valid Clinical Psychologist license with Dubai Health Authority (Required). Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (Desirable) or willingness to obtain within a specified timeframe.

Experience

1-3 years of experience in higher education or relevant academic/professional practice (Required). 1-3 years of experience as a practicing clinical psychologist (Desirable). Proven potential to deliver high-quality teaching and academic support. Familiarity with the UK higher education system and understanding of the cultural context of the UAE. Experience in module design, and blended/online learning platforms (Desirable).

Knowledge & Skills

Strong technical knowledge in clinical assessment, mental health interventions, and therapeutic approaches. Ability to deliver high-quality, student-centred teaching and assessment. Competence in supervising student research and mentoring diverse learners. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
