Operate, monitor, and control all plant equipment used in the production of acetylene gas, including generators, scrubbers, dryers, compressors, and filling manifolds.
Perform start-up, shutdown, and emergency operations of the acetylene plant according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Check and maintain correct operating parameters such as temperature, pressure, and gas purity levels.
Handle calcium carbide safely during charging and unloading operations.
Perform regular inspections of plant systems to identify leaks, blockages, or mechanical/electrical issues.
Conduct cylinder filling operations in compliance with gas safety and quality standards.
Ensure proper labeling, storage, and handling of filled cylinders.
Maintain accurate production and maintenance logs.
Implement and adhere to safety regulations and company policies to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
Report any equipment malfunctions or abnormalities to the Plant Supervisor immediately.
Assist in preventive maintenance and minor repair activities as required.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and plant reliability.
