We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Accounts Officer with a minimum of 3 years of experience in the bakery, cake, chocolates production, and retail industry. The Accounts Officer will manage and oversee all accounting functions, ensuring that financial records are accurate, up-to-date, and comply with relevant regulations. This role involves working across multiple branches and related parties, ensuring the smooth financial operations of our expanding business.
Key Responsibilities:
General Accounting:
Maintain accurate financial records for all bakery, cake, and chocolate production, and retail operations across multiple branches.
Ensure timely recording of daily transactions, including sales, purchases, expenses, and other financial data.
Manage and reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
Financial Reporting:
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including profit and loss, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
Provide detailed reports on financial performance, variances, and forecasts to management.
Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
Taxation and Compliance:
Prepare and file tax returns (VAT, Corporate Tax, etc.) for the business.
Ensure that the company complies with all local, state, and federal tax regulations.
Liaise with auditors for year-end audits and provide required documentation.
Branch Accounting:
Oversee the accounting functions across multiple branches, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
Prepare and consolidate branch financial statements.
Monitor inter-branch transactions and resolve any discrepancies.
Inventory Management:
Work closely with the production and retail teams to ensure accurate tracking of inventory.
Assist in maintaining proper inventory levels and ensuring cost-effective stock management.
Cash Management:
Monitor and manage the company's cash flow, ensuring sufficient funds for operational needs.
Oversee bank reconciliations, cash handling, and petty cash management.
Internal Controls & Auditing:
Assist in the development and enforcement of internal control systems to safeguard company assets.
Conduct periodic internal audits and resolve any discrepancies found during audits.
Relationship with Related Parties:
Maintain good relationships with vendors, customers, and other related parties.
Ensure timely invoicing and collections from related entities and customers.
Monitor and reconcile accounts with related parties.
Qualifications and Skills:
Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting, with exposure to bakery, cake, chocolates production, and retail industry.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Additional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA) is a plus.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, or any ERP system).
Strong understanding of accounting principles, tax laws, and financial regulations.
Soft Skills:
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Experience:
Previous experience in managing accounts across multiple locations or branches.
Familiarity with the bakery and food industry is a plus.

Willingness to travel between branches if necessary.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
