We are seeking an experienced and strategic Accounting Manager to oversee our accounting operations, ensure financial accuracy, and manage cross-border compliance for both the UAE and USA. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership abilities, advanced accounting knowledge, and hands-on expertise with QuickBooks Online (QBO), QuickBooks Desktop (QBD), and UltraTax Software. This role involves managing the accounting team, reviewing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with UAE VAT and US tax regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management & Leadership
Lead, supervise, and mentor the accounting and bookkeeping team.
Oversee daily accounting operations, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements.
Coordinate month-end and year-end closing processes.
Technical Accounting & Software Expertise
Manage and optimize workflows in QBO and QBD, ensuring efficient accounting operations.
Oversee integration, setup, and troubleshooting of accounting software.
Supervise tax preparation processes using UltraTax Software.
Tax Compliance (UAE & USA)
Ensure compliance with UAE VAT:
Review VAT calculations, reconciliations, and return filings.
Maintain proper VAT documentation and ensure FTA compliance.
Manage USA taxation workflows:
Review financials prepared for federal and state tax returns.
Support CPA coordination for US tax filings.
Oversee tax return preparation using UltraTax Software.
Analysis & Reporting
Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Provide financial insights to management for strategic decision-making.
Monitor cash flow, budgets, and financial forecasts.
Operational Oversight
Maintain accurate and organized accounting records.
Identify process inefficiencies and propose improvements.
Ensure regulatory compliance and audit readiness.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred).
Experience in a supervisory or managerial accounting role.
Strong proficiency with QBO, QBD, and UltraTax Software.
Deep understanding of UAE VAT regulations and USA taxation rules.
Advanced skills in financial analysis, reporting, and Excel.
Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making abilities.
