to oversee the financial operations of our organization. The ideal candidate will bring 10 to 12 years of proven experience in financial management, project accounting, and cost control within the construction sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management & Reporting
Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including GL, AP, AR, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP) and regulatory requirements.
Monitor cash flow, working capital, and forecast future financial trends.
Project Accounting
Manage project budgets, cost control, and profitability analysis across multiple ongoing construction and infrastructure projects.
Coordinate with project managers and site engineers to track project expenditures and ensure alignment with budgets.
Maintain cost allocation records and prepare project-wise reports.
Budgeting & Forecasting
Lead annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes.
Analyze financial data and develop strategic insights to support executive decision-making.
Recommend cost-saving strategies and operational efficiencies.
Audit, Compliance & Internal Controls
Liaise with external auditors, banks, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities.
Ensure accurate tax filings (VAT, corporate tax, etc.) and timely compliance with local laws.
Implement and monitor strong internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Team Leadership
Supervise and mentor a team of junior accountants and finance staff.
Set departmental goals and KPIs to ensure continuous improvement and alignment with organizational objectives.
ERP/Software
Utilize accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, or ERP systems specific to the construction industry).
Generate real-time reports for management using ERP tools.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master's or CPA/CA/ACCA qualification is a plus).
10 to 12 years of accounting experience
, with at least

years in the construction industry
(civil & infrastructure projects preferred).
Strong understanding of project-based accounting, cost control, and construction finance.
Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
