Job Title: Accounts Manager

Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Manager with a minimum of 5 to 10 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance roles, preferably within the UAE. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of local regulations, financial reporting standards, and tax laws. They should demonstrate leadership abilities, strategic thinking, and a proven track record of managing a team and driving financial performance.

Responsibilities:

Lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll. Ensure compliance with UAE financial regulations and reporting requirements (including VAT). Prepare and present accurate and timely financial statements and reports to management and stakeholders. Manage and coordinate the annual budgeting and forecasting process. Monitor cash flow, budgets, and financial forecasts. Coordinate and manage the annual audit process, ensuring timely completion and compliance with audit requirements. Develop and implement internal controls and procedures to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations. Mentor and develop accounting staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations. Analyze financial data and provide strategic recommendations to improve financial performance and operational efficiency. Maintain strong relationships with external auditors, banks, vendors, and other stakeholders.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Master's degree and CPA/CMA certification preferred. Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance roles, with at least 5 years in a managerial or supervisory capacity. Strong knowledge of UAE accounting principles, financial regulations (including VAT), and reporting standards (IFRS). Experience in managing audits and ensuring compliance with local regulations. Proven ability to lead and manage a team, with excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills. Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks). Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
