Parsons extensive experience combined with your attention to detail and skill with training and development, will propel your career forward. At this level, the Supervisor may have responsibility for establishing and maintaining budgets for the project or office to which assigned. In this role, you will supervise a small group of accounting personnel (3 to 4 employees) within one Accounting function such as billing, accounts receivable, or payroll. You may supervise all accounting functions in a small office or an assigned project. Responsibilities: Makes staffing assignments appropriate to the workload and provides training and development fo r those assigned. Conducts performance evaluations. Recommends salary actions and promotions for management approval. Participates in the interview process. May make recommendations for hires and terminations. Reviews work produced by those assigned for accuracy, thoroughness, and timeliness. May have responsibility for establishing and maintaining budgets for the project or office to which assigned. Maintains professional contacts to expand and update technical skills. Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, Business (or equivalent) 3+ years of related work experience Requires a proficiency of standard accounting techniques and principles Thorough understanding of all accounting rules and regulations pertaining to assigned area of responsibility Strong written and oral communication skills Proficiency in PC software packages typically associated with accounting Potential to perform in a supervisory capacity Minimum Clearance Required to Start: Not Applicable/None Parsons is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity in the workplace.
