Inspire Selection is recruiting a TOP CALIBRE Accounting Manager for a leading multinational oil & gas company, which is operating across the entire globe, incorporating more than 200 legal entities worldwide. The company has organised its operations by geographical division and accounting operations are conducted in 5 major locations (Rio, Houston, Singapore, Dubai and London).
The Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing the Financial Controllers and / or Financial Accountants responsible for one or more of these divisions.
The general purpose of this role is to review, manage and provide monthly reports of all legal entities and subsidiaries across all regions. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing all legal/tax compliance within the legal entities, ensuring optimized capital structure, intercompany charges and internal training regarding the legal structure.
This role will work closely and maintain ongoing communication and support with Controllers and Accountants in the divisions including Financial Reporting and Business Controls teams. In addition, the incumbent will also engage with internal and external auditors.
Responsibilities

• Quality review of balance sheet reconciliations for all legal entities
• Manage Intercompany and Fixed Asset process for the business globally
• Oversee that period end and closing deadlines are met
• Review Ad-hoc analysis, reports and/or presentations provided by the Legal Entity Controllers
• Ad-hoc participation in process improvement projects
• Assist in and follow up on the compliance with Management Agreements
• Co-operations with both internal and external auditors

• Education/Qualifications: Bachelor / Masters Degree AND an international Professional Accounting Qualification.
• Required knowledge: Excellent understanding of highly detailed financial and accounting practices and procedures, a comprehensive understanding of the processes and transactions across profit centres within legal entities. An understanding and oversight of business models and how these affect any interaction between profit centres and legal entities i.e. intercompany reconciliation.
• Experience required: Our client is only interesting in interviewing candidates who have demonstrated experience in a very large and well-known multinational commercial company, and ideally within the Oil & Gas industry. Previously reached a high level in one of the Big 4 firms (at least Manager level)
• Skills/abilities: Excellent analytical skills, professional and extremely confident communicator, comfortable to work in an environment of change, good time management, effective at building and maintaining relationships and well-developed people leadership skills.

Salary: AED 40-45k plus full family benefits including education for kids.
