Job Position - Accountant

Safeway Interior Design is looking for a detail-oriented and dependable Accountant to support our Finance & Accounts function. The role focuses on day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting support, and compliance, working closely with the Accounts Manager and project teams.
Key Responsibilities:
-Manage day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping activities
-Record journal entries, ledgers, vouchers, and maintain accurate books of accounts
-Perform bank reconciliations and maintain fixed asset registers
-Handle Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections
-Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
-Support VAT and statutory compliance, including audit documentation
-Coordinate with internal teams to collect and verify financial data
-Maintain MIS reports, project cost summaries, and expense records
Key Requirements:
-Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
-Proven experience in a similar Accountant role (UAE experience Mandatory)
-Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial controls
-Experience with accounting software and MS Excel
-High attention to detail, accuracy, and compliance
-Ability to work independently and meet reporting deadlines
