An Accountant is responsible for managing financial records, preparing and analyzing financial reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations, and supporting the organization's financial decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and update general ledger and financial records.
Prepare financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow).
Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
Reconcile bank statements, vendor accounts, and other financial discrepancies.
Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
Ensure compliance with tax regulations, assist in GST/VAT filings, and support tax audits.
Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting.
Monitor cash flow, control expenses, and provide cost-saving recommendations.
Collaborate with auditors during financial audits and provide necessary documentation.
Use accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, Zoho Books) for accurate record-keeping.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Professional certifications (e.g., CA, ACCA, CPA) are an advantage.
3 - 4 years of relevant accounting experience.
