**PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE APPLYING** : \xc2\xb7 Manage and oversee the daily operations of the company\'s finance department for its transportation business, including but not limited to accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries, bank reconciliations, and month-end and year-end closings. Responsibilities: \xc2\xb7 Handles monthly book closing and provides accurate reports. \xc2\xb7 Responsible for all payment follow-ups/receivables and payables. \xc2\xb7 Petty cash monitoring. \xc2\xb7 Filing of VAT returns on quarterly basis. \xc2\xb7 Prepares profit and loss statement (cash basis accounting). \xc2\xb7 Combines numerous reports (bank statements, invoices, profit and loss statements, and so on). \xc2\xb7 Creates financial statements such as the Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and so on. \xc2\xb7 Prepares voucher payables and cheques as needed; computes gratuities; agents commission; and assists with WPS schedule development and salary calculations. \xc2\xb7 Encodes all financial transactions in the accounting system\'s financial data. \xc2\xb7 Assists the auditor in the audit of the financial statements. \xc2\xb7 Assist on creating budget for the coming year. \xc2\xb7 Annual financial book closing. \xc2\xb7 Provide general administrative support, as needed. Requirements: \xc2\xb7 Preferably willing to be relocated in Umm Al Quwain, office headquarters. \xc2\xb7 Minimum of 2-3 years of professional accounting experience in a transportation industry in UAE is required. \xc2\xb7 Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting or Finance: CPA/CMA certification preferred. \xc2\xb7 Advanced knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting best practices, laws, standards, and state/national regulations. \xc2\xb7 Background in transportation business is a plus. \xc2\xb7 Strong knowledge of IFRS and other accounting standards.
