Our Middle East Regional Accounting team currently has an opening for an Accountant.

What is an Accountant to us The accountant will play a vital role in ensuring the core finance functions are running smoothly and efficiently. Should be a team player, work closely with other team members and fit into a detail-oriented, dynamic, and fast paced environment.
Will be responsible for keeping the books clean and in compliant with local laws and regulations. Work closely with the \xe2\x80\x9cShared Service Centre\xe2\x80\x9d to ensure all financial data is captured accurately into the system. The ideal candidate should be able to meet the stringent deadlines without sacrificing accuracy and quality of the work.

Where you will be based

The role will be based at our Middle East HQ at Dubai Investments Park \xe2\x80\x93 2 (DIP 2), Dubai.

What you will do General Accounting

• Ensure reconciliation of Bank, Petty cash and other balance sheet items are performed periodically.
• Ensure all transactions are recorded as per GAAP
• Ensure the filing of all accounting and supporting documents are in compliant with local statutory requirements.

Tax Compliance

• Ensure all our accounting transactions are in compliant with the local tax laws.
• Work closely with the Tax consultant in the return filing.
• Work closely with other finance & non-finance team members to ensure the recommendations from the consultant are adhered to.

Management Reporting

• Assist in month end, quarterly and year end reporting.
• Assist with any other ad-hoc reporting requirements from the business.

Audits

• Assist in Interim and year end audits.

Accounts Payable

• Vendor reconciliations
• Process payments to vendors
• Answer queries from vendors/business units & resolve issues amicably
• Ensure compliance with Internal control on all AP transactions

About you

In addition to having 3+ years of accounting/finance experience, the below would summarise your skills, aptitude and qualifications:

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in finance, accounting, or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of financial principles, and accounting practices.
• Penchant for using Technology to improve efficiency.
• Attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
• Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to set priorities, manage your time and workload to meet strict deadlines.
• Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
• Confident, can-do attitude and willingness to support internal customers and stakeholders in effectively doing their job.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to build collaborative relationships with multiple and diverse stakeholders.
• Proficient computer skills with experience using Microsoft Office applications.
• Cultural sensitivity and awareness.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
