The Role

Role Description:

This is a full-time on-site Accountant role based in Dubai. Reporting to the General Manager, the Accountant will provide essential support to the team by managing core accounting functions, ensuring tax compliance, and maintaining accurate financial records. The role involves monthly processing, tax return preparation, reconciliation tasks, and participation in ad-hoc finance projects. Job Specification: o Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts including Profit and Loss account and Balance Sheet o VAT Registration and Return Submission o Corporate Tax Registration and Return Submission Project Work: o There will be involvement in projects on an ad-hoc basis Monthly Processing: o Setting up cloud accounting system o Ensuring all sales are recorded accurately and there is a robust system in place for highlighting issues, preparing various reports o Cash & Bank Reconciliation o Accounts Receivable o Ensure that the system of recording and invoicing is done in an effective manner and that debtors are tracked and monitored periodically o Accounts Payable o Maintenance of the purchasing system, reconciliation of creditor statements and dealing with queries o VAT and Corporate Tax Registration on the FTA Portal as and when required o Submission of VAT and Corporate Tax Returns as and when required



Requirements

Proven experience in UAE VAT and tax accounting (required) o Ambitious, confident, and professional individual with strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills o Solid accounting background, preferably gained in an accounting firm or industry role o Qualified or part-qualified accountant o In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and procedures o Prior experience working in the UAE is essential Software skills: o Xero accounting software o Zoho Books o QuickBooks
