Accountant

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to manage our financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial statements, compliance with regulatory standards, and providing critical financial insights to support business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all accounting transactions and prepare budget forecasts.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable in a timely manner.
• Reconcile bank statements and ensure the accuracy of general ledger accounts.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
• Handle payroll processing and ensure compliance with UAE labor laws.
• Assist with audit preparations and liaise with external auditors.
• Compute taxes (VAT, Corporate Tax) and prepare tax returns, ensuring compliance with UAE tax regulations.
• Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary.
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain internal controls.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a relevant field.
• Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA, ACCA) is a strong advantage.
• Proven experience as an accountant, preferably within the UAE or GCC region.
• In-depth understanding of UAE VAT laws and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• High proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Oracle, SAP) and MS Excel.
• Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong ethical standards and high integrity.
• Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
