Job Description
We are seeking a skilled accountant with experience in MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) or construction company accounting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of the company, including bookkeeping, financial reporting, budgeting, and tax compliance. The accountant will work closely with management to provide timely and accurate financial information to support decision-making. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain the financial records of the company, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Create and manage budgets for the company, ensuring that expenses are within budgetary limits.
- Assist in the preparation of annual tax returns and ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
- Manage cash flow and ensure that the company has sufficient funds to meet its financial obligations.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure that financial transactions are properly recorded and classified.
- Provide guidance and support to management in financial decision making.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure that financial records are accurate and up-to-date.
- Develop and maintain relationships with financial institutions and other stakeholders.
- Stay current with accounting standards and industry trends, and recommend improvements to accounting processes and procedures.
- Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting for MEP or construction company.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software, and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Valid UAE Driving Licence
- Ras al-Khaimah: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
- Available to join Immediately
- Accounting: 4 years (Preferred)
