SPEC Energy DMCC, an established global engineering and contracting firm serving the oil, gas, and energy industries, is seeking a meticulous Accountant Officer to join their Sharjah finance team. The role requires a hands-on accounting professional who can manage end-to-end accounting tasks, ensure compliance with internal controls, and support timely financial reporting across the business.
Key Responsibilities:

• Handle full-cycle accounting activities including journal entries, ledger maintenance, and month-end routines.
• Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Reconcile intercompany transactions and resolve discrepancies across accounts.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure all documentation meets company policies and standards.
• Assist with audit preparations and provide required documentation and explanations for internal/external auditors.
• Collaborate with other departments to support financial controls and timely close processes.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline.
• At least 3 years of practical accounting experience - applicants must currently be based in the UAE.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and strong MS Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical thinking, attention to detail, and strong organizational ability.
• Professionalism and ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team.
