About our client

Our client is a significant player in the Paris region\'s public works, construction, and services sectors. They are seeking an Accountant to support their activities in the Middle East region.

This position consists of ensuring the accounting of financial flows and the production of the mandatory accounting documents for the group\'s business units under his responsibility. Native English speakers are preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Verification of SCI employees\' scores.
• Management, registration and monitoring of payroll (CNPS declaration and payroll tax);
• Supervise customer invoicing and invoice validation in the software.
• Customer Payment Tracking and Recording.
• Registration of expatriate living allowances.
• Monitoring of banking operations: recording of banking operations, bank fees, loans, and bank reconciliation (5 bank accounts).
• Signature and validation of requests for transfers of expired supplier invoices.
• Analysis of the provider-aged balance.
• Preparation of monthly tax returns (withholding tax, income tax, and VAT).
• Monitoring and validation of petty cash of different projects.
• Closure of the financial statement and monthly accounts.
• Preparation and monitoring of the intercos sheet.
• Monitoring of depreciation and monthly recording.
• Monitoring of prepaid expenses and registrations.
• Monitoring of accruals and recording.
• Annual Static and Financial Reporting Preparation.
• Preparation of the OHADA mapping for 2022 and monthly in 2023.
• Recording of provisions.
• Manage all accounting transactions of the group\'s business units under his responsibility.
• Prepare budget forecasts.
• Publish financial statements on time.
• Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual closing.
• Reconcile accounts payable and receivable.

Qualification:

• Work experience of about 5 years as an Accountant
• Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures including generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
• Hands-on experience with accounting software like FreshBooks and QuickBooks,
• Advances in MS Excel skills including VLOOKUP and Pivot tables.
• Experience with general ledger functions
• Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
• B.Sc in Accounting, Finance, or relevant degree
• Additional Certification (CPA OR CMA) is a plus.
• Experience with companies in Cameroon, Ivory coast, and France is preferred.
• Experience in Accumatica is preferred.
• English and French-speaking skills will be highly preferred.
