Job Opportunity: Accountant - Hypermarket

We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented

Accountant

to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and preparing comprehensive financial reports. Your skills will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with accounting standards and supporting strategic business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting:

Prepare and analyze financial statements and monthly management reports to guide strategic planning.

General Ledger Management:

Accurately record financial transactions, maintain the general ledger, and reconcile accounts to resolve discrepancies.

Accounts Payable & Receivable:

Oversee invoicing, payment processing, collections, and ensure proper documentation and timely payments.

Budgeting & Forecasting:

Support the development and analysis of budgets, forecasts, and variance reports to monitor financial performance.

Tax Compliance:

Handle tax filings and ensure adherence to applicable tax regulations; assist with audits and inquiries.

Internal Controls:

Establish and maintain internal controls to protect company assets and ensure data accuracy.

Cross-Department Collaboration:

Partner with teams such as operations and procurement to provide financial insights that drive efficiency.

Qualifications:

Energetic individual with a

Bachelor's degree in Commerce

; a postgraduate qualification is a plus. Minimum

3 years of experience in finance

, within the

hypermarket/supermarket

industry in GCC

. Solid understanding of accounting principles, budgeting, cost control, and

International Accounting Standards

. Proficiency in accounting and financial

ERP software

. Advanced Excel skills with strong command of formulas and functions. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret financial and operational data. Sound commercial awareness and strong business acumen. Experience with various reconciliations (supplier, customer, bank, general ledger, etc.). High attention to detail, accuracy, and a problem-solving attitude. Capable of making quick, well-informed decisions. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Able to work under pressure, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks. Willingness to work flexible hours when required.

Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED3,500.00 per month
