Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accountant with a solid background in

accounting, auditing, and VAT compliance

, particularly within the

financial services industry

. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, supporting audits, and ensuring VAT compliance in accordance with local regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and maintain financial records, reports, and general ledger accounts. Ensure accurate month-end and year-end closing processes. Prepare financial statements in accordance with IFRS/local GAAP. Oversee and manage VAT filings and ensure full compliance with tax regulations. Assist internal and external auditors during audits, providing necessary documentation and analysis. Perform reconciliations of bank accounts, intercompany transactions, and other financial statements. Monitor and analyze accounting data, and produce financial reports or statements. Support budgeting and forecasting activities. Identify and resolve discrepancies or irregularities in financial documents. Maintain knowledge of industry trends and regulatory changes in financial services and tax.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree

in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification is a plus).

3-5 years

of experience in accounting and auditing roles, preferably in the

financial services

sector. Proven knowledge of

VAT laws and practices

(especially in GCC/UAE, if applicable). Strong understanding of accounting principles, auditing standards, and regulatory frameworks. Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Oracle, SAP) and Microsoft Excel. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or in a team.

Pay: AED7,000.00 - AED8,000.00 per month
