Accountant

Location: Doha, Qatar Position: Permanent, Full-Time
Our client, a leading Engineering Consultant in Doha, Qatar, seeks a detail-oriented Accountant to join their finance team. You will maintain accurate financial records, prepare reports, and ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain financial records, including transactions, journal entries, and ledgers. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow). Manage accounts payable/receivable and perform bank reconciliations. Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis. Support audits and ensure compliance with Qatar's tax laws and IFRS. Analyze financial data to identify cost-saving opportunities. Prepare and file tax returns. Provide financial insights to support organizational goals.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) preferred. 3-5 years of accounting experience, ideally in engineering consultancy. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, IFRS, and Qatar's tax regulations. Proficient in accounting software and advanced Excel. Detail-oriented, analytical, and organized. Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team. Adaptable to changing priorities and deadlines.
