Job Title: Accountant

Experience Level: Entry to Junior (0 2 Years) Job Purpose
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to support the Finance Department in managing daily accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial records, and assisting in financial reporting and reconciliations. The role requires strong attention to detail, compliance with financial procedures, and the ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information. Key Responsibilities

• Implement approved financial systems and accounting procedures
• Assist with banking transactions and monitor related financial activities
• Review payment cheques and supporting documents before processing
• Verify invoices and financial documents and maintain proper filing systems
• Record accounting entries and follow up on payment schedules
• Prepare payment vouchers after required approvals
• Support the preparation of financial and accounting reports
• Assist in preparing trial balances, periodic reports, and asset reports
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations
• Review monthly expenses against financial records and report discrepancies
• Verify cheque details, beneficiary information, and authorized signatures
• Perform additional tasks assigned by the Finance Manager

Requirements
Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• CMA certification is an advantage

Experience

• 0 2 years of accounting experience

Skills

• Knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
• High accuracy in financial reporting
• Strong time management skills
• Ability to follow financial policies and instructions
• Good computer skills (MS Office and accounting systems)
• Strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail
