Accountant
Location: Dubai South, UAE
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary Range: AED 5,000 - AED 6,000 per month (commensurate with experience)
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Weekend: Saturday & Sunday Off
About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance, and providing key insights through profit and loss reporting. This role is critical for supporting our financial health and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Reporting & Analysis:
• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual Profit & Loss (P&L) statements.
• Analyze P&L variances, investigate discrepancies, and provide actionable insights to management.
• Assist in budget preparation and forecasting activities.
• General Accounting:
• Manage day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and ensure all balances are accurate.
• Process payroll, ensuring compliance with UAE regulations.
• Maintain and reconcile inter-company transactions.
• ERP & System Management:
• Utilize the company's ERP system efficiently for all financial data entry, reporting, and extraction.
• Ensure the integrity and accuracy of all data within the financial systems.
• Compliance & Audit:
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations and assist with timely filings.
• Support internal and external audit processes by providing required documentation and explanations.
• Maintain organized and secure financial files for audit trail purposes.
• Process Improvement:
• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve internal controls.
• Work independently to meet tight reporting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of proven experience in an accounting role, with specific hands-on experience in Profit & Loss reporting.
• Technical Skills:
• Essential: Hands-on experience with an ERP system (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Odoo, or similar).
• Strong proficiency in MS Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, Formulas).
• Solid understanding of accounting principles (IFRS/UAE GAAP) and VAT regulations.
