The Role:
We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Accountant with specialized knowledge of Jebel Ali Freezone (JAFZA) regulations. You will be the cornerstone of our finance function in Dubai, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and efficiency in all accounting processes.
Key Responsibilities:

• JAFZA Compliance & Operations: Manage all JAFZA-related financial matters, including periodic renewals, audit submissions, and adherence to freezone-specific financial regulations.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) promptly.
• VAT Management: Take full responsibility for UAE VAT compliance, including precise quarterly filing, return submissions to the FTA, and maintaining all requisite documentation.
• Accounts Management: Oversee the entire accounts payable and accounts receivable cycle, ensuring accurate posting, reconciliation, and collections.
• Software Proficiency: Utilize accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, Tally, or ERP) to maintain the general ledger, record transactions, and generate financial reports.
• Audit & Reconciliation: Assist with internal and external audit processes and perform regular bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Non-Negotiable: 3-5 years of continuous accounting experience within the United Arab Emirates.
• Non-Negotiable: Proven, hands-on experience with JAFZA accounting procedures, compliance, and reporting.
• Essential: Strong, up-to-date knowledge of UAE VAT legislation and practical experience with FTA submissions.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Certification (Preferred): An internationally recognized professional qualification, such as CPA, ACCA, or CM, A is a significant advantage.
• Technical Skills: High proficiency in at least one major accounting software (Sage 50, QuickBooks, Tally, or an ERP system).
• Personal Attributes: Excellent attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work independently with high integrity.
