Job Title Accountant

Location Dubai

Company Trade Finance -Wholesale Import and Export- Our client in involved in trading and shipping activities now cover over 25 countries, with full-service offices in Saudi Arabia, India and Singapore.

Role Description- This is a full-time on-site role for an Accountant located in Dubai. The accountant will be responsible for managing financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy of financial information, and working closely with management to make informed business decisions.

Responsibilities:

Record daily transactions related to commodity trades.
Manage invoices and payments for purchases and sales of commodities.
Perform basic bookkeeping tasks to maintain accurate financial records.
Prepare financial statements and reports for review.
Vendor management and vendor reconciliation.
Ledger Scrutiny: ensure books are up to date and free from errors and omissions.
Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
Collaborate with internal teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
Prepare and distribute confirmations to clients on regular basis and take corrective action to resolve any discrepancies.

Requirements:

Bachelor\'s degree in accounting or finance.
Previous experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
Familiarity with accounting software and MS Excel.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar capacity
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and standards.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
Ability to prioritize tasks and work under deadlines.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Prior experience in the Logistics/ Import and export industry/ Trade finance preferred.

Budget - 10,000 AED (Negotiable based on the experience)
