Job Description
Job Summary: DC GROUPS Travel and Tourism is seeking an experienced Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the company\'s financial records, including bookkeeping, financial reporting, and budgeting. The Accountant will also work closely with other departments to ensure that financial objectives are met and financial controls are in place. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles and practices, as well as experience with financial software and systems. Responsibilities:
- Manage the company\'s financial records, including bookkeeping, financial reporting, and budgeting.
- Prepare financial statements and reports for management, investors, and regulatory agencies.
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance and make recommendations for improvement.
- Develop and manage budgets for all departments and ensure that all expenditures are within budgetary limits.
- Work with the sales team to develop pricing strategies and ensure that pricing aligns with financial goals.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring that all invoices and payments are accurate and timely.
- Reconcile bank statements and other financial records on a regular basis.
- Work with external auditors to ensure that all financial statements are accurate and complete.
- Develop and implement financial controls and procedures to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
- Bachelor\'s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting, with at least 1 years of experience in the travel and tourism industry.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Experience with financial software and systems such as Quickbooks or Xero.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
- Dubai: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
- Bachelor\'s (Preferred)
- Accounting: 1 year (Preferred)
