We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Senior Accountant who will take charge of managing our accounting functions and establishing robust financial systems from scratch. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of accounting principles and best practices, along with the ability to create and implement streamlined processes to support our business operations effectively. Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and controls to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Oversee day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, and general ledger maintenance.
- Design and maintain comprehensive financial systems to track income, expenses, inventory, and assets, tailored to the specific needs of our car repair and parts sales workshop.
- Lead the preparation of financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses to support decision-making and strategic planning efforts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline business processes and optimize operational efficiency, providing financial insights and recommendations as needed.
- Manage and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure their professional development and performance excellence.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in accounting and finance, implementing relevant changes and improvements to enhance our financial operations.
- Bachelor\'s degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
- Proven experience as a senior accountant or similar role, preferably in the automotive industry.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and internal controls.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; experience with QuickBooks or similar platforms is desirable.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret financial data and make informed recommendations.
- Effective communication and leadership abilities, with experience in managing accounting teams and collaborating across departments.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment, with a proactive and solutions-oriented mindset.
