Job Description
Position Title: Accountant
Department: Finance
Reports To: Finance Manager / Head of Finance
Job Summary
The Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end closing, ensuring compliance with UAE financial regulations, and assisting in financial reporting and audits.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
Prepare journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
Process invoices, payments, and expense claims
Support month-end and year-end closing activities
Prepare financial statements and management reports
Ensure compliance with VAT regulations and filings
Coordinate with auditors during internal and external audits
Maintain proper documentation and financial records
Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
2-5 years of accounting experience (UAE experience preferred)
Knowledge of UAE VAT regulations
Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar)
Strong Excel skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Preferred
ACCA / CPA / CMA (or pursuing)
Experience in outsourcing or shared services environment
