About your role

You will be responsible for reporting, budgeting, transaction processing, and financial analysis for a Venture Studio and setting-up accounting, reporting, and control processes for new Corporate Ventures that are developed within the Studio. To be successful in this role, you should be comfortable in an environment with significant ambiguity and adept at managing change in setting up an accounting and finance function in a dynamic and fast-changing environment. This will be a hands-on role with the successful candidate expected to take over additional responsibilities as required by company needs. About you:

• Qualified accountant with ACCA or CPA or CA certification
• Experience in recording transactions, bookkeeping, and preparing financial statements
• Experience in processing payroll and payment processing
• Knowledge of UAE Excise and VAT laws to manage the process and guarantee compliance with tax audits, accurate tax payments, and returns
• Experience in leading audits and liaising with auditors and overseeing compliance reporting
• Experience in setting up bookkeeping and accounting records in an accounting system including establishing a chart of accounts
• Experience in implementing control framework and new processes and systems
• Excellent understanding of IFRS and preparation of financial statements
• Experience in preparing cash flows, budgets, and other analysis in excel
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills to drive strategic data interpretation
• Ability to multitask, meet deadlines and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Extremely well organized and accurate, with superb attention to detail
