Position Description

Job Title: Account Manager - Exhibitions
Reporting Into: Managing Director - Exhibitions
Direct Reports: NA
Location: Dubai, UAE

Job Objective:

The Account Manager will play a pivotal role in driving the expansion of Arena Exhibitions in the Middle East. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in business development, exhibit a good understanding of the local business landscape, and possess exceptional interpersonal and relationship building skills. This role requires a proactive attitude and the ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities while nurturing relationships with potential clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough research to identify potential clients and create a competitive landscape for the Exhibitions industry in the Middle East.
  • Analyze market insights to develop tailored strategies for penetrating and establishing a strong presence in the region.
  • Develop and implement a Business Development plan to generate leads, qualify prospects and convert opportunities into successful projects.
  • Build and maintain a robust Sales Pipeline by actively prospecting, networking and attending industry events.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team to create effective promotional materials and campaigns in the region.
  • Cultivate and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, decision-makers, and potential clients to understand their needs while positioning Arena Exhibitions as a trusted partner.
  • Conduct regular client meetings and presentations to showcase our capabilities and tailor solutions to client requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, opportunities, and client interactions using the Arena CRM software.
  • Provide regular reports and forecasts to the management team, highlighting progress, challenges, and recommendations for improvement.
Required Skills/Abilities:

Personal
  • Self-starter, able to work independently with minimum supervision.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
  • Ability to travel within the region and on occasion, internationally.
Technical
  • Proven track record in Business Development, Sales, or related roles, preferably within the Exhibitions or Event Management industry
  • Knowledge of the business environment in the Middle East and the cultural nuances associated with the same.
  • Good network of contacts and relationships within the local business community.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
  • Driving license is a plus.
Education and Experience:
  • 5 \xe2\x80\x93 6 years experience in Exhibitions or Event Management.
