Job Summary:

The Account Manager is responsible for managing client relationships and ensuring the delivery of high-quality accounting, tax, and advisory services. This role involves supervising junior staff, reviewing financial statements and tax filings, and acting as the primary liaison between clients and the firm. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage multiple accounts effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring their accounting and financial needs are met. Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, building strong, long-term relationships. Oversee preparation and review of financial statements, tax returns, and other financial reports. Provide strategic tax planning and financial advice in compliance with current laws and regulations. Coordinate and review work of junior accountants and bookkeepers, providing guidance and support. Ensure client deadlines are met and deliverables are accurate and timely. Identify opportunities to offer additional services to existing clients. Stay current on changes in accounting standards, tax laws, and industry trends. Assist in the preparation of proposals and presentations for potential clients. Maintain accurate records of client communications and services provided.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred. 3+ years of experience in public accounting or a similar client-facing role. Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP) and tax regulations. Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or similar). Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and time management abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
