Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Academic Counselor to join our team and provide comprehensive academic guidance and support to our diverse student population. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, a deep understanding of academic advising principles, and a commitment to helping students achieve their academic goals. Freshers with a strong academic background and a passion for helping others are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group academic advising to students on a wide range of academic matters, including course selection, academic progress, graduation requirements, and career planning.
- Collaborate with faculty, staff, and parents to support students\' academic success and overall well-being.
- Conduct workshops and seminars on topics such as study skills, time management, and test preparation.
- Maintain case files and track student progress to ensure timely intervention and support.
- Stay up-to-date on academic policies, procedures, and changes to provide accurate and relevant information to students.
- Represent the academic advising team at various campus events and activities.
- Bachelor\'s degree in a relevant field, such as education, psychology, or counseling.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with students from diverse backgrounds.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of academic advising principles and practices.
- Familiarity with college-level curriculum and graduation requirements.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
