Job Description

The Office of the Registrar is looking for Academic Catalogs and Record Keeping Specialist to assist in the compilation of undergraduate and graduate catalogs among other responsibilities.

Job Responsibilities
  • Timely compilation of undergraduate and graduate catalogs with accurate, comprehensive and fully integrated content.
  • Timely and accurate indexing of Course Approval Forms (CAFs) and student petitions.
  • Responding to and channeling general Office of the Registrar inquiries.
  • Keeping track of all curricular and non-curricular changes approved post publication of the academic catalogs for inclusion in the academic catalogs of the upcoming year.
  • Accurately amending the catalog texts in accordance with all the approved changes, ensuring uniform style is followed and non-conflicting information in the different sections of the catalogs.
  • Working closely with the Associate Registrar on reviewing the updated catalog texts.
  • Communicating with the different information owners for review of catalogs material, with the editors for text editing and with the production team for catalogs layout, web upload and printing of the catalogs.
  • Keeping track of the progress of the different components of the catalogs to ensure adherence to the production timeline.
  • Indexing the approved Course Approval Forms (CAFs) of each academic year.
  • Indexing the approved Student Petition Forms of each semester.
  • Responding to and appropriately channeling general inquiries received by the Office of the Registrar
Qualifications and Skills Required
  • Bachelor\'s degree in business administration or related field
  • Two years of work experience in American-style universities, with exposure to academic operations and an understanding of concepts and jargon like degree programs, courses, semesters, academic standing, academic policies, academic catalogs\xe2\x80\xa6etc.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, mainly Microsoft Word, and in Adobe Acrobat
  • Excellent English communication skills

  • UAE nationals preferred
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
  • Familiar with Banner SIS
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Familiar with Google Drive
