Academic Accreditation Specialist

Job Description

Coordinate and follow up on the accreditation process of academic programs at QU Health and monitor compliance with accreditation standards.


Support programmatic, institutional, and national accreditation initiatives at Qatar University, and collaborate with relevant internal and external stakeholders.


Partner with QU Health colleges and academic programs to identify suitable accreditation agencies and prepare for programmatic accreditation.


Review accreditation applications for completeness, request additional information from academic programs as needed, and prepare and disseminate related correspondences.


Verify compliance with accreditation standards, including periodic reports to accrediting agencies while working closely with colleges and programs at QU Health.


Provide support during accreditation site visits, including coordinating schedules for internal and external representatives.


Organize, classify, and maintain accreditation data, documents, and information, and ensure accurate tracking of accreditation reports and status updates.


Develop and maintain academic program review policies, procedures, templates, handbooks, and guides.


Coordinate the academic program review process and serve as the focal point for communication and support during reviews.




Administer the review and approval process for Program Enhancement Plans following program reviews and ensure timely their implementation
Maintain records, files, and calendars related to academic program reviews, and propose necessary revisions in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.


Monitor the implementation of approved Program Enhancement Plans and follow up with academic programs as required.


Assist in orienting faculty and academic administrators regarding academic program review-related policies and accreditation requirements through workshops and consultations.


Develop and maintain accreditation and program review-related websites to provide updated information and resources.


Provide timely and relevant information on accreditation and academic program review to aid in academic planning and decision-making.


Prepare periodic reports on accreditation and academic program review activities, outcomes, and related quality assurance initiatives.


Support the collection, organization, and dissemination of data related to accreditation and program reviews.


Assist in preparing and conducting educational workshops on accreditation, academic planning, and program review to build capacity within QU Health colleges and programs.


Contribute to research on academic quality assurance and health professions education, including areas of accreditation, assessment, and program evaluation.




Performs other relatedduties as assigned Qualifications
Anearned master's degree is required in one of the health profession disciplinesor health education; a Ph.D. is preferable
