The AC Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing air conditioning and refrigeration systems to ensure optimal performance. The role involves troubleshooting faults, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, service, and repair air conditioning and refrigeration systems in residential, commercial, or industrial settings.
Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure efficient operation of AC systems.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant-related issues.
Replace faulty components such as compressors, motors, fans, and filters.
Recharge refrigerants and monitor pressure and temperature levels according to system specifications.
Maintain accurate records of service, repairs, and parts used.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards during all maintenance and repair activities.
Provide technical guidance and support to junior technicians if required.
Respond to emergency breakdown calls and restore system functionality promptly.
Collaborate with suppliers and procurement for spare parts and equipment as needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education:
Technical diploma or certificate in HVAC, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
Experience:
2-5 years of experience in AC installation, maintenance, and repair.
Skills:
o Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical circuits, and refrigeration cycles.
o Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
o Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
o Ability to work independently and in a team.
o Good physical stamina and adherence to safety protocols.
