Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair. This role requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to work with various tools and equipment. The HVAC Technician will be responsible for ensuring that heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems operate efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, boilers, and refrigeration systems. Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with HVAC equipment using schematics and technical manuals. Perform routine maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance. Conduct field service visits to client locations for system inspections and repairs. Utilize tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment for repairs and installations. Collaborate with other trades, including plumbing and construction teams, to complete projects efficiently. Maintain accurate records of service performed and parts used during repairs. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards during all work activities.

Skills

Proficient in HVAC design principles and practices. Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in appliance repair and equipment repair. Familiarity with ammonia refrigeration systems is a plus. Ability to read and interpret schematics related to HVAC systems. Experience in property maintenance is advantageous. Field service experience is preferred, demonstrating the ability to work independently in various environments. Knowledge of welding techniques as they apply to HVAC installations is beneficial.
