Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and versatile
AC
Technician
to perform a variety of technical maintenance tasks related to electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and general building systems. The ideal candidate should be experienced in multiple trades and capable of carrying out inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs to ensure operational efficiency and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Installation:
Install, inspect, and test AC systems, including split units, window units, ducted systems, VRF/VRV systems, and central HVAC units.
Lay out and install electrical wiring and control systems for AC units.
Maintenance:
Perform routine and preventive maintenance on air conditioning systems.
Clean and replace filters, coils, and other components.
Refill and check refrigerant levels.
Repairs:
Diagnose faults or technical issues in air conditioning systems.
Repair or replace defective components such as compressors, fans, thermostats, and motors.
The person can paint and do the cleaning as well.
Troubleshooting:
Use diagnostic tools to identify problems and determine appropriate solutions.
Ensure quick and accurate troubleshooting to reduce downtime.
Compliance & Safety:
Follow all safety standards and procedures while working.
Ensure all work complies with applicable codes and regulations.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate service records, logs, and reports of performed work.
Report major issues to supervisors and suggest recommendations.
Customer Service:
Communicate effectively with clients/customers.
Educate clients on basic system care and maintenance.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education:
Diploma or certificate in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning or a related technical field.
Experience:
Minimum 1-2 years of experience as an AC technician.
Experience with residential, commercial, or industrial HVAC systems.
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, tools, and safety procedures.
Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams.
Proficient in handling refrigerants (F-Gas certification may be required depending on the country).
Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
Vocational training in HVAC systems (preferred).
