Job Description

The AC Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of air conditioning systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. This includes diagnosing issues, performing regular servicing, and ensuring that HVAC systems operate efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities



Install new air conditioning systems (split, window, central, and ducted units) Perform regular maintenance, including cleaning filters, coils, and condensers Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults in AC systems Repair or replace defective components, such as compressors, motors, fans, and thermostats Recharge refrigerant and ensure proper pressure levels Test systems and components to ensure proper functioning Follow blueprints, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer specifications Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations Provide excellent customer service and explain work performed to clients Respond to emergency service calls when needed

Qualifications & Skills



Technical diploma or certification in HVAC or related field Minimum [X] years of experience in AC installation and servicing Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, tools, and diagnostic techniques Ability to read technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical systems Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces or high areas Valid driver's license (if required for service travel) EPA certification (for refrigerant handling, if applicable)
