Job Title: AC Technician

Job Summary:

The AC technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and servicing of air conditioning systems and equipment. This role ensures that HVAC systems operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with applicable standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, inspect, maintain, and repair air conditioning systems (central AC, split units, VRF/VRV systems, etc.) Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems Perform routine maintenance to reduce breakdowns and increase efficiency Clean and replace air filters and ensure refrigerant levels are within proper range Read blueprints, drawings, or other specifications to determine HVAC layout Test components and systems using tools such as voltmeters, pressure gauges, and leak detectors Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and system performance Comply with all safety standards and regulations Provide recommendations for system upgrades or replacements Coordinate with other technicians and contractors as needed

Experience:

Proven experience as an AC technician or similar role Familiarity with HVAC systems and their components Strong understanding of electrical systems and controls Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics Good troubleshooting and diagnostic skills Physical stamina and dexterity to handle tasks and tools Valid HVAC certification/license (if required in the region) Excellent time management and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in residential, commercial, or industrial environments Knowledge of energy-efficient HVAC systems EPA certification for refrigerant handling (U.S. requirement)
