Company: Al Jeel Al Thahabi Auto Maintenance Workshop Location: Sharjah, UAE (or as applicable) Job Type: Full-Time ?Job Summary ?We are seeking a skilled and experienced Automotive AC Technician to join our busy workshop team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and installing air conditioning and climate control systems in a wide range of European, Japanese, and American passenger cars, vans, and light commercial trucks. ?Key Responsibilities ?Diagnosis & Troubleshooting: ?Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults in automotive AC systems (compressors, condensers, evaporators, sensors, controls, etc.) using specialized diagnostic tools and equipment. ?Pinpoint refrigerant leaks and system malfunctions accurately. ?Repair & Maintenance: ?Perform comprehensive repairs, including replacing compressors, clutches, expansion valves, receiver/driers, and hoses. ?Execute routine preventative maintenance, such as refrigerant recharging, flushing systems, and cleaning/replacing cabin air filters. ?Conduct leak tests and pressure checks to ensure system integrity and performance. ?Installation & Testing: ?Install new or replacement AC system components in line with manufacturer specifications. ?Test and adjust repaired or new systems to ensure optimal cooling performance and customer satisfaction. ?Safety & Compliance: ?Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and environmental regulations, especially concerning the handling and disposal of refrigerants (CFCs, HCFCs, HFCs, etc.). ?Maintain a clean and organized work area. ?Documentation & Customer Service: ?Accurately document all services performed, parts used, and time spent on repair orders. ?Communicate technical diagnoses and repair recommendations clearly to the Service Advisor or customer. ?Skills and Qualifications ?Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; a technical certificate or diploma in Automotive AC/Refrigeration is highly preferred. ?Experience: ?Minimum of [Insert Number, e.g., 3-5] years of experience as an AC Technician, with a strong focus on Automotive AC systems. ?Proven experience working on various makes and models (European, Japanese, American vehicles). ?Technical Knowledge: ?Deep understanding of automotive electrical systems and circuit diagrams related to AC/HVAC control. ?Proficiency in refrigerant recovery, recycling, and recharging procedures. ?Familiarity with modern vehicle diagnostic equipment. ?Other Requirements: ?Valid UAE Driver's License (preferred/essential). ?Excellent troubleshooting, time management, and problem-solving skills. ?Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced workshop environment.
