Job Description

3000 AED + Overtime Accommodation and food provided Health Insurance o diagnose, service, repair and maintain the air-conditioning systems (HVAC) in vehicles (cars, light trucks, possibly heavy vehicles) so that the vehicle's AC performs reliably, safely and to manufacturer/specification standards. Ensure the vehicle leaves the workshop with fully functional AC system, complying with safety & environmental standards regarding refrigerants.
Key Responsibilities

Receive vehicle job cards/work orders for AC system checks, diagnosis or repair. Diagnose faults in vehicle AC systems: compressors, condensers, evaporators, expansion valves, cooling lines, sensors, wiring, fans, etc. GulfTalent+2Wuzzuf+2 Perform the repair/replacement of AC components (compressors, condensers, evaporators, hoses/pipes, expansion valves, filters, fans, controls). GrabJobs+1 Recharge AC systems with correct refrigerants (R134a, R1234yf or applicable) and oils; perform leak testing and ensure system pressurisation and performance. Dr Jobs UAE+1 Inspect and test the AC system's performance after repair/maintenance (cooling efficiency, airflow, temperature drop, system pressure, noise, vibration). Read and interpret wiring diagrams, AC schematics, vehicle service manuals and diagnostic data to locate faults. GulfTalent Maintain tools, gauges, vacuum pumps, manifold sets and workshop cleanliness; ensure safe handling, storage and disposal of refrigerants and waste materials. GulfTalent Communicate with service advisors / workshop management: explain findings, propose additional recommendations (e.g., component replacement vs repair), update job cards with details of work and parts used. Wuzzuf Prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and manage workload in a busy workshop environment; assist with general vehicle service duties or support colleagues when needed. Keep abreast of new technologies in vehicle HVAC systems (including hybrid/electric vehicle AC systems if applicable). Qualifications & Skills

High-school diploma or equivalent; vocational/technical certificate in Automotive, Mechanical or HVAC/AC systems is preferred. ASDC Valid driver's licence (depending on job requirement). Minimum 2-5 years (or as required) experience as an Automotive AC Technician in a vehicle service/repair workshop. GulfTalent+1 Strong technical knowledge of vehicle AC/HVAC systems and components (compressors, condensers, evaporator, expansion valve, blower, hoses, refrigerant) and their operation and faults. Skilled in using diagnostic tools, vacuum pumps, manifold gauges, leak detectors and AC system re-charging equipment. GrabJobs Ability to read wiring diagrams/schematics and diagnose electrical faults in AC units. Dr Jobs UAE Good physical stamina - able to work in workshop environment, lift parts, bend, crouch, operate tools. Good communication skills (to discuss with service advisors, customers, colleagues); ability to clearly explain technical issues in simple terms. Safety awareness (handling refrigerants, electrical systems, workshop hazards) and ability to maintain a clean, organised workspace. Self-motivated, good time-management, able to work independently or as part of a team.
Preferred / Additional Qualifications

Certification in automotive AC/HVAC repair or refrigerant handling (if required by region). Experience working with multiple brands/makes of vehicles. Experience working with heavy/commercial vehicles, or with hybrid/electric vehicle AC systems. GulfTalent GCC region experience (if recruiting in UAE/GCC). Working Conditions

Workshop environment: noise, grease/oil, vehicular traffic. Use of hand tools, power tools, lifting equipment. Handling refrigerants and potentially hazardous materials (must follow safety protocols). Travel occasionally for mobile service or fleet operations (if applicable). Work hours: may require shifts or extended hours in busy periods.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Accuracy of diagnosis (first-time fix rate). Turn-around time of AC repair jobs. Customer satisfaction / repeat complaints for AC jobs. Compliance with safety & environmental regulations in refrigerant handling. Workshop cleanliness and tool/equipment upkeep. Number of preventive maintenance AC checks completed (if applicable).
Career Progression

Senior AC Technician ? Supervisor/Team Leader (AC section) ? Workshop Service Manager. Possibility to specialise in high-end / luxury vehicle AC/HVAC systems or commercial vehicle AC. Additional training: hybrid/electric vehicle HVAC systems, advanced diagnostics.
