Performs AC system inspections and manufacturer-recommended preventative maintenance.
Installs and repairs direct expansion air conditioning equipment to include window units, split type units and packaged units.
Carries out mechanical/electrical repairs to reciprocating chilled water units; air handling units, associated equipment, and controls.
Disassembles, inspects, and rebuilds reciprocating-type compressors.
Troubleshoots both mechanical and electrical faults on the equipment mentioned above.
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Essential Qualifications:
Diploma in Air Conditioning, Refrigeration, and Ventilation.
Prerequisite Experience /Competence:
5 years experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Electrical knowledge of AC control systems.
Ability to read, understand, and follow written instructions in the English language.
Ability to use hand and power tools applicable to the AC trade.
