Job Description

We are seeking a skilled

Automotive AC Mechanic

to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining air conditioning systems in vehicles. You will ensure that the AC systems in our clients' cars are working efficiently, ensuring a comfortable and cool driving experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform diagnostic tests on automotive air conditioning systems and components to identify issues. Repair or replace components such as compressors, evaporators, condensers, and blower motors. Recharge air conditioning systems with refrigerant and perform leak detection and recovery. Conduct pressure tests and checks to ensure the system is working within proper parameters. Regular maintenance of air conditioning systems, including cleaning and replacing air filters. Maintain up-to-date service records and provide reports to supervisors. Ensure compliance with all environmental and safety regulations concerning refrigerant handling. Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and maintenance to clients.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Proven experience as an AC mechanic or technician, preferably with automotive air conditioning systems. Good understanding of vehicle HVAC systems and related components. Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Knowledge of environmental regulations and refrigerant handling procedures. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Certification in AC systems repair

(e.g., EPA 609, or equivalent) is a plus.
