Job Description
The job holder is responsible to operate Abra and to ensure passenger & personnel safety on-board at all times. KEY RESULTS ACCOUNTABILITIES He is responsible to follow policies on board the vessel Abra seaman to follow the ISM on board his vessel To execute work as general-purpose crewman To assist the Captain on berthing, un-berthing and bunkering To ensure that vessels are clean and tidy at all times. To assist the Captain and ensure keep a good look out especially at night and in foggy weather, as well as having good physique and excellent eye sight with good colour vision Assist the passengers for boarding/disembarking water ferries and guard them till they are inside the ferry safety In case of man over board, throw the life buoy close to him as possible and guide the person to recover him as quick as possible. In case of fire, attack it with the extinguishers available, immediately raise alarm and inform the Captain, get the fire pump ready for immediate use.
