An ABA Therapist, also known as a Behavior Technician, plays a crucial role in improving the lives of individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other developmental disabilities. Under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), ABA Therapists implement behavior therapy interventions and strategies to enhance communication, social skills, and adaptive behaviors.
Responsibilities:
Implement ABA Therapy Plans to deliver one on one therapy sessions based on individualized treatment plans developed by BCBA
Accurately record and analyze behavioral data to measure progress and inform treatment modifications.
Teach new skills and behaviors using evidence-based ABA techniques.
Implement strategies to decrease challenging behaviors and promote positive alternatives.
Collaborate with the BCBA, parents, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure consistent implementation of treatment plans.
Participate in ongoing training and education to enhance ABA knowledge and skills.
