Interpret
engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding procedures
accurately.
Prepare materials and ensure proper joint fit-up before welding.
Inspect welds visually and dimensionally to ensure compliance with
ASME/AWS
standards.
Maintain welding equipment in proper working condition.
Follow
safety protocols
, wear appropriate PPE, and maintain a clean work area.
Collaborate with the quality and inspection teams for testing (NDT, RT, PT as required).
Repair or rework welds when necessary to meet quality requirements.
Record welding parameters and maintain
weld logs
or inspection records.
Requirements:
Trade Certificate / Diploma
in Welding or equivalent technical qualification.
Minimum 3-5 years
of experience as a 6G Welder, preferably in oil & gas, fabrication, or construction projects.
Valid
6G Welding Certification
(TIG/GTAW or SMAW) on Stainless Steel pipes (ASME IX or equivalent).
Strong knowledge of
welding symbols, procedures, and material types
(SS 304, SS 316, Duplex, etc.).
Ability to work under minimal supervision and in confined or elevated areas.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
