is responsible for welding and assembling piping systems according to specific project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Perform welding and assembly of pipe spools and fittings.
Carry out welding using GTAW (Gas Tungsten Arc Welding) and SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) processes.
Read and follow Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS)
Repair and rework non-conforming materials as per instructions.
Pipe cutting, grooving, threading and beveling.
Cut, groove, thread, and bevel pipes as needed
Assist in material preparation, packing, loading, and offloading.
Assist with the inspection of incoming and outgoing materials
Ensure that assigned tasks are completed within the time limit.
Carry out extra work as required
Respect environmental, Health & Safety Policies at workplace.
Report any HSE issues to the HSE Officer.
Key Competencies
Certified 6G Welder in GTAW and SMAW.
Certification in MIG (Metal Inert Gas) welding is an advantage.
Minimum 2 years of welding experience
Diploma or technical qualification in Mechanical or related field
Able to read and understand WPS and technical drawings
Knowledge of pipes, fittings, flanges, and valves.
Knowledge of welding techniques (SMAW, GTAW, MIG).
English verbal and written communication skills
