Role Purpose:

• Assist in developing and tracking the Group and Holding strategies, conducting portfolio review and optimization, detailing and implementation oversight of cross-BU'sinitiatives
• Support the Business Units and Holding support functions in developing their own strategy in support of the Group's strategy
• Work closely with the strategic planning and performance managementteamin translating Holding strategy into a strategic plan, supported with KPIs and targets to measure and track benefits

Role Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Strategy Development

• Develop and maintain strong industry and competitive knowledge; have a strong understanding of global as well as industry specific trends related to Majid Al Futtaim businesses; focus industries/ geographies
• Lead the development and/ or refreshing of the Group and Holding strategies and in communicating the strategiesto the operating companies and relevant stakeholders Support Holding support functions in developing their functional and thematic (e.g. digital, commerce) strategies and in communicating the strategy to the operating companies and relevant stakeholders
• Support the development and oversight of BU's functional, thematic, country strategies, and any specific value creation / turnaround strategies and emerging business model strategies
• Actively participate in content development and organization of corporate summits and other group wide strategy workshops

Portfolio Review

• Actively participate in strategy discussions with business units and form articulate view on overall strategy and initiatives
• Drive the performance/ business reviews and conduct multi-industry benchmarks across financial and operational KPIs to identify improvement areas; perform 'deep dives' on performance root causes
• Oversee/ facilitate implementation of key strategic cross-cutting initiatives and track progress to detect issues and risks; identify areas of support which can be provided by Holding

Thought Leadership

• Support team's lead in scanning for emerging topics on which the group, represented by Holding, should have a view
• Structure and lead the analysis to understand emerging topics and their impact on the group and/or its member businesses. Articulate findings and communicate to Group's executives
• Own content and structure of regular reports published by the group, and manage their publishing cycle
• Prepare executives talking points at conferences and other external communications 2 Data and Insights Stewardship
• Be a steward of data and insights that is commonly used by holding and member BUs in their strategy work
• Regular update of these data and insights
• Partnering with any third-party entities that may own such data/insights
• Ensuring such data is easily retrievable by all users, while addressing any questions they may have on the same

Experience and qualifications:

• Bachelor's in a relevant discipline from a highly reputable university with a strong academic record
• 1 - 3 years Tier-1 Management Consulting / Strategy Houses, Private & Investment Equity Firms or Strategy in relevant industries.
• Expert in Microsoft Office
