The Enterprise Solutions team serves global organizations, including leading companies, governments, and nonprofits, who seek to upskill or retrain their workforce with the world's best education. This team is made up of three sub-teams: Sales, Customer Success, and Revenue Strategy & Operations. The teams operate globally and have members based out of our offices in Mountain View, New York, London, Gurgaon, and Abu Dhabi.

As a critical early member of our Governments team, you will be responsible for developing and closing partnerships with some of the largest government organizations in the world. Drawing on your superior strategic thinking and communication abilities, and creative deal-making skills, you will be critical in shaping Coursera's international government work, as well as more broadly impact the way that governments train their employees and citizens.

Your responsibilities

  • Build and close national-level strategic partnerships in alignment with Coursera's high-level strategic priorities and mission
  • Bring new, innovative national and regional collaborations to the table, propelling the future of public sector training, upskilling, and hiring
  • Use in-depth knowledge of industry trends and data-driven insights to consult and support prospective governments to upskill their workforces; this may include identifying opportunities for collaboration and improvement in potential customers' workforce development strategies
  • Be the voice of Coursera's public sector partners, sharing customer-driven insights across Coursera, and provide quantitative/qualitative analysis to inform content, product, and our future global roadmap

Your skills:

  • 5+ years public sector experience in the government, non-profit, foundation, consulting, international development, or workforce development space
  • A record of past achievement, including the ability to spearhead new strategic initiatives, tackle large, complex projects, and manage senior-level external stakeholders
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills, strong analytical and creative-problem solving abilities, excellent interpersonal skills, organizational, and operational skills
  • Ability to listen well, hold your own in meetings with senior executive representatives from prospective partners, and speak as a thought-leader in this space
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment and to juggle multiple workstreams and strategic priorities simultaneously
  • Fluency in Arabic
  • A strong government network in the Middle East preferred
  • MBA, MPA or comparable experience preferred
