Job description
Creating Baseline cost and resource loaded schedules from first principles using Primavera P6
Reporting on the progress of the schedules using reporting practices such as Earned Value techniques
Presenting Schedule updates to the management team, and preparing visual presentations of the schedule
Presenting solutions to Schedule slippages to the management team
Assist the wider project team in Project Management duties – this could be in the form of preparing visual reports or presentations or chasing actions from the wider stakeholders.
Assist with the completion of Client Ad-Hoc Requests
Coordinate and liaise with strategic partners to incorporate schedule updates to master schedule.
Auditing schedule received from strategic partners, within the required time frame to avoid any reporting or schedule discrepancies.
Help in establishing business cases timelines, taking into consideration various inputs for client, strategic consultants and advisors.
Presenting the schedule in a visually friendly manner and producing necessary diagrams to accommodate the schedule report and updates.
Help in drafting Requests for proposals, specifically the time schedule and the schedule reporting requirements.
Drafting the time (schedule) management plan, discussion and agreeing with the client, the plan to include schedule levels, coding, schedule general accepted standards.
Establish and agree schedule levels and tasks coding and break down.
Attend planned and schedule meetings representing the client with various strategic partners
Ensure cross functional cooperation and visibility among other departments to ensure alignment on deadline and critical activities.
Run sensitivity analysis for various schedule changes, showing the time and cost implications for various changes.
Flag any issues or concerns to management to help reducing the probability and impact of any schedule related risks.
Develop the Risk Management strategy, plan and procedures for the project.
Develop and manage the project risk management register.
Comprehensively identifying Risks that might impact on the achievement of the Program Objectives
Accurately assessing using both qualitative and quantitative methods the potential impacts of the identified Risks
Prioritizing the requirements for Risk response identification
Formulating appropriate responses to the identified Risks
Quantifying adequate cost and time provisions for post-response residual Risk impacts
Controlling the implementation of identified Risk responses
Monitoring changes in Risk exposure, identifying new Risks and modifying responses
Data gathering to support monthly risk reports; including report preparation
Establish Risk Management cadence including recurring meetings and reporting
Conduct regular risk workshops with different stakeholders
Profile
High degree of technical proficiency in implementing risk management procedures on major construction projects.
Understanding of key engineering and construction concepts.
Technically proficient in one or more risk management tools (i.e. Active Risk Manager, Primavera Risk Analysis, etc).
Proficient with quantitative cost and schedule analysis using Monte Carlo simulation techniques
Ability to work with diverse stakeholders at all levels in order to negotiate win-win situations
Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
Ability to meet deadlines in a highly pressurized and ever-changing work environment
High degree of competency in the use of Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word & PowerPoint
Experience in mega-project/program in the Middle East
Production of consistent project artefacts such as project plans, status reporting and financial reporting
Proficient in Primavera software.
