Role Purpose:

The Senior Planner supports the Planning Manager to effectively analyze multi-dimensional plans including sales trends, gross margin, inventory and OTB levels, partnering with the Buying and Store teams to maximize retail profits through effective planning and trading of ranges throughout the region covered. The role controls delivery, allocation and replenishment activities in line with agreed range and allocation plans to identify and action opportunities for optimizing sales, stock holding and profit. Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to the following: Operations Financial & Standards Customer

  • Accountable for the right products / stock to be available in the right quantities at the right place at the right time.
  • Responsible for monitoring line and product category performance ensuring stock is kept at optimum levels by: - Store transfers - Replenishment - Sell thru by product category - Sale and mark down management . Regularly review plans ensuring pre-season changes in product or shop performance or space are incorporated (commercial plan, store/ country reforecast).
  • Plan collection's clearance and end of season markdown for achievement of sell through to be in line with the margin expectations of the business.
  • Create hindsight reports highlight performance against plan by producing a weekly sales, stock and intake summary (WSSI), future in-season sales, mark downs, intake and stock and communicate any risks to profit or stock targets to Senior Management where necessary
. . Analyze impact on margins and top line sales growth expectations due to promotions.
  • Review and monitor logistics costs per country and flag any adverse impacts on margins.
  • Monitor Warehouse service levels and work with Logistics to track shipments and timely delivery of stock transfers.
  • Track and understand customer profiles, trends and preferences to make sound product/stock decisions meeting customer expectations
. . Develop and maintain strong inter and intra departmental relationships for open and effective sharing of information and follow up actions.
  • Manage overall markdown for the department and plan promotions like Gift with purchase, Multi-Buy Offers, re-pricing of product lines. KPIs . Budgeted net margin . Sell thru & Stock cover
  • OTB management

Qualifications & Experience
  • Graduate degree in a related field preferably Business or Finance Experience
  • 7+ years in a Planner role
  • Solid understanding of Retail Financial measurements including sales, gross margin, inventory turn etc.
  • Experience in a Retail environment is mandatory
